Well, hate to dress up for week ends!! I think that together with my 2 other friends

we are the youngest invited guest in the front rows

full of old man exchanging name cards

well, that is the working life

All in all, the event was quite insightful

At least i get to see quite a handful of

our local successful businessmen!!!

Impressive and Touched!!!

A new TV show for Monday!!!

As i wasn't that much of a local TV fan

Thus, this show is really something that captures me!!

I'm sure a lot of you had saw the show before.

It do not have prizes to be won

No super stars as guest performers

And definitely no delicacies for you drew over

But instead, its filled with

rubbish (literally), cockroaches, lizards and smelly odour!!

And hosted by 2 person whom i din really like before:

But i was deeply touched every time i watch the show.

Seeing the lives of many unfortunate people in the society,

How one sick family member can bring down the whole family,

Yet this people are getting by each day unnoticed!

The volunteers and the kind people help to get their life back

To revamp their living conditions:

First by cleaning up their house.

then sort out their emotional and social needs

~~~~~~~~

I'm impressed by the efforts the volunteers put in for the needy

They are not just there for the show.

But they are truly there to help!!

~~~~~~~~

I'm even more impressive with the 2 host!

They used to be known to me as:

Arrogant and big-headed(Christopher)

Rude and fierce (Yi feng)

~~~~~~~~

But my view for them changed a 180'

The way they extended they help and working their Axx off

really show a different side of them.

something that touched the audience deeply!!!

All in all, the show is a rare at times like this

But its in fact truly wat we need to see!!

(Even thou i felt a bit of propaganda involved)

so the taxi fleet branded "the worst in the world" can come as a bit of a shock.

Even the locals are not spared

the shabby service of unkempt and hostile drivers

behind the wheels of decrepit vehicles

who refuse to use the meter, overcharge

and pick-and-choose which destinations

they will travel to.

In a survey by the local magazine The Expat,

some 200 foreigners from 30 countries

rated Malaysia the worst among 23 countries

in terms of taxi quality, courtesy, availability and expertise.

The respondents lashed the fleet as "a source of national shame"

and "a serious threat to tourists

rude bullies and extortionists".

Abdul Razak, operations manager for Dubai-based Citicab

which launched here in January,

said that even in poorer nations

such as Thailand and Indonesia,

taxis are smarter and the drivers far more courteous.
"I would say it is the worst in this region,

undoubtedly. I have travelled to all countries in this region

and our company operates taxis in many parts of the world.

The situation here is the worst I have seen," he told AFP.

"It is difficult for the roads and traffic department to take stern action,"

that i gave my ultimate attention.

Suppose the same to a lot of people.

Lots of record breaking events and excitements!

Many have mentioned that this is a Singapore Win by a group of Foreign Talents!

Well, Singapore has always being absorbing help from everywhere,

Numerous scholarships and sponsorships available for such purposes.

Not that i am totally opposing that policy.

juz that i always believe that priority should always be given to your own people!

i understand that the government believes in having foreign talents working in SG

it will in turn create more job opportunities for the locals.

In a way it is true, but how much of the foreign talents were in fact here that CREATED jobs

And instead of taking them????

A country needs to accept new ideas and new talents to expand

But sometimes a lot of these talents were only using Singapore as a stepping stone

How many of them really treated Singapore as their home??

And how many of these people were here working for Singapore's interest and not their own?

Highly doubt that!

The money being put in that sector has being increasing over the years

as i can see more and more foreigners around me!

My parents paid Tax with the rest of Singaporeans that in turn contribute to SG

which also in turn benefits me in terms of tuition grant

it also benefits a lot others who never pay tax but enjoy the tuition grant too!!

They were the icing of the cake that was attracted here by our huge sholarships

Went for dinner at the newly renovated bugis junction basement

no more food court but transformed into a little food paradise

with lots of small restaurants and eateries!!!

After much hesitation. finally decided to settle at the new store of:

haha!!! not a big fan of it thou but decided to give it a try!!

Home Sweet Home!

Finally back from my 6 mth Holiday!

Last day of IA!!!!!

Had been really busy for the past few weeks!!!

Constant singing of KTV which is really cheap too!

with YY placing a long list of songs which she want others to sing!!

and the funy thing is that she like to 点播 male artist songs!!

Trying to exchange photos which YY constantly breathing down my neck for it
even thou her laptop got no more space liao!

神州共“震”！

A major earthquake occurred in CHINA on 12/05/08

The world was shaken!!!

I received the news from a friend of mine

When she told me she was evacuated from her office

Due to tremors on the ground!

~~~~~~~~

For a minute, i tot it was juz like one of those vibrations we felt in Singapore

Simple shaking of buildings with no obvious damage!

I was wrong!!!!!

News of a major earthquake in 四川省，汶川县soon started to spread!!!

~~~~~~~~

The earthquake was registered to be 7.8 degree

Over 300 after-shock were registered!

Till now, more than 15000 were dead

And many more still missing!!

Mostly school kids who were trapped

When their classrooms collapsed over them!
